#RaceForTheCase Let’s Help Build a School in Guatemala!

Hi Readers! This week’s post is dedicated to helping precious children in Guatemala. We have so many opportunities in this country that we often take for granted. One of them is access to a free education. When Cartoon Cuts (locations in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, and Puerto Rico) asked me to help spread the word about their charitable scavenger hunt- Race For The Case- I was thrilled to help.

Cartoon Cuts is having a fun scavenger hunt at their 13 shopping center salon locations on August 6th, 2015, from 10 am to 8 pm. There will be pencil cases (filled with pencils, combs, gift cards, free haircut cards, and other freebies) hidden around the mall for your child to find. In order to get clues on the cases’ whereabouts, they will be posted on Cartoon Cuts’ social media pages- Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

For this event, Cartoon Cuts has partnered with Pencils of Promise (PoP), a for-purpose organization that builds schools in developing countries. For every pencil case champ that shares his/her experience on social media using #raceforthecase, Cartoon Cuts will donate $1 to PoP! The money donated will go toward their $25,000 goal to build a school in Guatemala. You can learn more about this fun event here.

Can’t make it on Thursday? Not a problem. Cartoon Cuts has a donation page set up through PoP that’ll help build that school for these children. Click here for their donation page.

For all you DC area families- you can attend the event at the following shopping centers:

Fair Oaks Mall
Dulles Town Center
Springfield Town Center
Smoketown Stations

White Marsh Mall
The Mall in Columbia
Congressional Plaza
